A boxing event presented by Top Rank Inc., Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa takes place Friday in the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The headline bouts feature 2012 Olympian super lightweight Jose Ramirez and local flyweight Oscar Vasquez.

The first bell is at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $100 for ringside, $65 for premium and $35 for general admission. Tickets are available at and the Atlantis Gift Shop.

A nine-bar Pub Golf event for participants wearing golf attire takes place from 4-10 p.m. Saturday in midtown and downtown Reno. Participants get an 8-ounce game cup for $2, a map and drink specials at each of the nine bars. Cups and rules are available at Siri’s Casino and Saturday at St. James Infirmary.

In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, the Eldorado Resort Casino and the Silver Legacy Resort Casino offer free buffets and entertainment discounts to teachers with a Washoe County School District ID. Until Friday, The Buffet in the Eldorado and Flavors! the Buffet in the Silver Legacy offer free buffet meals, and the Laugh Factory Comedy Club offers two-for-one tickets.

Viewing parties for the Kentucky Derby and the Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fight take place Saturday in the Ballroom at the Atlantis. Tickets cost $45 for both parties and include two drinks per party.

The Grand Gaming Stadium virtual gaming area is open in the Grand Sierra. Located near the William Hill Race and Sports Book, the area features electronic baccarat, blackjack, craps and roulette. The area has two six-seat roulette stations and 18 stadium-style seats with individual screens facing six 65-inch monitors.

A viewing party for UFC 211 takes place May 13 in LEX Nightclub a the Grand Sierra. The event features heavyweights Stipe Miocic vs. Junior dos Santos and women strawweights Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Jessica Andrade. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and tickets start at $15. Guests get free entry to LEX after the fight.

A UFC 211 viewing party takes place May 13 at The Stage in The Zone at Harrah’s Reno. VIP tickets cost $25 and include a stadium-style food buffet, a draft beer and a raffle ticket. The doors open at 5 p.m. Additional raffle tickets can be earned with $5 alcoholic beverage purchases. Guests who join the Total Rewards players club get an extra free drink.

Future Legends 36, a King of the Cage event, takes place May 20 at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino. The mixed martial arts event features heavyweights Matt McCrary from Reno vs. Reuben Roundstone, welterweights JJ Torres vs. Reno’s Blake Snee and women bantamweights April Martinich vs. Autumn Norton of Susanville.
