The Great Reno Balloon Race Winners for 2016

The winners of the Great Reno Balloon Race (GRBR) for 2016 were announced on Sunday.
The GRBR celebrated its 35th anniversary this year. The annual, free event at Ranch San Rafael Regional Park brings together hot air balloons from all over the country. They compete for a chance to win their share of the $11,000 prize purse.
The winning pilots
- Ron Sanchez, flying "High Yield" for Wells Fargo
- David Dunrad, flying "Soccer Ball" for Bonanza Casino
- Dale Wong, flying "Baby Bear Too" for the GRBR
- Tim Nelson, flying "Drifting Star"
- Karl Peterson, flying "Aerpography"
- Dan Walsh, flying "Sierra Sunset" for Attorney Nancy Gilbert
- Tony Rivara, flying "Zollie" for Sands Regency
- Lewin Williams, flying "Split Tail" for Wells Fargo Advisors
- David Wakefield, flying "Deviation" for Harrah's Reno
- Greg Taggert, flying "Coyote Moon" for Veteran's Guest House
