Grand Sierra holds $2M Riches Giveaway
A $2 million Grand Sierra Riches Giveaway takes place until March 17 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. A daily Pick-A-Prize game awards free play, dining, concert tickets, entries to the grand-finale drawings an up to $5,000.

WHITNEY PEAK: The USA Climbing Division 2 Bouldering Championship takes place Saturday and Sunday at the hotel’s Base Camp. More than 200 male and female climbers ages 8 to 18 will participate. The event is open to spectators.
Qualifying rounds take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and the final rounds take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
HARRAH’S: A viewing party for UFC 220 takes place Jan. 20 in The Stage at The Zone. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets cost $25 for Total Rewards members and $35 for non-members.
The VIP pass includes reserve seating, a stadium-style food buffet, a draft beer and a raffle ticket. Guests who buy an alcoholic beverage costing $5 or more get an additional raffle ticket.
HARD ROCK LAKE TAHOE: Paint and Sip takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays in January in Vinyl. An instructor leads champagne-sipping guests through creating Tahoe-inspired scenes. The cost is $40.
ATLANTIS: The casino’s five redesigned fountains have been unveiled after four months of work. The main fountain shoots colorfully illuminated water up to 40 feet in the air. In addition, the fountain is programmed so the water sways and weaves and appears to be dancing to the sounds of classical music.
The dancing water show lasts about three minutes and takes place every hour on the hour. Guests are encouraged to throw a penny into a fountain for good luck. All of the coins are eventually collected and donated to the Northern Nevada chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation.
