Forget the candy corn and hayrides. Also, forget the kids. This October is for you. Say no to sober bake nights. No to watching Hocus Pocus. Put on that costume that's way too small, and say cheers to a month of 21 and over Halloween parties starting with these:

Wild Erotic Ball

On Oct. 28 the Eldorado Resort Casino heats up with the sexiest costume party in town. If sexy to you is a Gumby suit, then go for it — wild is in the name, too. From barely there body paint to full on bearded ladies, anything goes, so let your freak flag fly. But leave your PTA clothes at home, because there are cash prizes for the best dressed. Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the door. Get them at any Eldorado box office or by calling 775-325-7401.

Brews & Boos Beer Festival

If you went home with Gumby on Friday, invite him to Brews & Boos on Saturday. Just Febreze your costumes from the night before and head to the Nugget Casino Resort Oct. 29 for all you can drink regional brews and live music from Boogie Knights. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 the day of. Get them here.

Double trouble at Eldorado

Party at two locations for two nights inside the Eldorado this Halloween. At NoVi, hit up the Nightmare party Oct. 28 and Blackout Oct. 29. Both parties start at 10 p.m. and charge a $10 cover unless you're in costume, then it's $5. Brew Brothers hosts the Phantom White Party Oct. 28 and a Haunted Halloween Party Oct. 29 with cash prizes awarded both nights. There is no cover Oct. 28 with a costume. On Oct. 29, pay $5 if in costume and $10 if not.

A very scary Tahoe

Both shores, north and south, promise lakeside parties big enough to rock your wigs off. Crystal Bay Casino hosts the Creepers Ball starting at 9 p.m. Oct. 29. Tainted Love will perform with DJ Elzoe and DJ Ectoe running the after party. Tickets are $25. On the other side of the lake Montbleu hosts the Freaker's Ball the same night with three parties under one roof — the Convention Center, Opal Ultra Lounge and Blu Nightclub. Tickets are $30 until Oct. 22 when they go up to $35. Pay $40 the day of or get them here now.
