North Lake Tahoe hosts popular, family-friendly events during the spring months. Whether it’s watching an exhilarating race or enjoying a concert under the stars, North Lake Tahoe has something for everyone. Here's just a few:
Event: Cushing Pond Crossing
Date: April 16
Location: Squaw Valley, CA
The original pond-skimming event that started a spring resort ritual returns to Squaw Valley. Every year Squaw Valley gathers a celebrity-judging panel and amazing emcees for this spectacle. Event: Amgen Tour of California
Date: May 19
Location: North and South Lake Tahoe
The Amgen Tour of California will challenge more than 350 of the world’s top cyclists. Athletes will put their strength and muscle power to the test as they climb, descend and break away along steep and winding stretches of the Sierra. The men’s elite race Stage 5 will begin in Lodi, Calif., and finish at Heavenly Mountain Resort’s California Base Lodge in South Lake Tahoe totaling 132.4 miles. The women’s Stage 1 will also start/finish at Heavenly totaling 72.7 miles.
Event: Tough Mudder Tahoe
Date: June 11-12
Location: Northstar California
The ultimate Tough Mudder course, Tahoe is a product of Tough Mudder’s mad-minded design team and Mother Nature herself. Winding trails and steep mountain climbs collide, forcing you to dig deep and embrace the challenge.
