This year the special headliner will be Lacy J. Dalton, playing her special brand of country music along with her musical sidekick, Dale Poune.

The festival begins Friday, August 14th with free concerts all day and Sunday, August 16th. The main event is Saturday, August 15th with headliners like Blue Highway, who holds the record for the most awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association. Also featured will be the John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band, featuring Ron Block (Banjo player for Allison Krause), The Sonoran dogs from Tucson, AZ and several of the local bands who perform in the Reno area.

The all festival begins at 9:15am and will have many craft and food vendors available all day long. For Lacy J. Dalton fans, she will perform at approximately 2:30.

Tickets are only $20 for the all day event with children under 12 free and can be purchased ahead of time at or at the festival.

Come celebrate a day of great music under shade of Bowers Mansion. For more information contact Rick sparks at 775-233-0122.

If you are planning to camp at the Davis Creek Group Camp area during the Bowers Mansion Bluegrass Festival please be aware that we expect the campground to be full by Friday evening. The festival

is required by the park and the fire department to leave enough space for a fire truck to get in and out of our camp area in case of an emergency. Because of this requirement there will only be room for approximately 15 RVs and 20 tents.
