This means they are required to obtain proof, (in the form of a certificate from a governmental agriculture department), that they actually grow what they bring."

While Shirley's Farmers' Markets is coordinating the vendors, the Sands Regency is bringing in quality live music each week for this free, family-friendly event. The bands hail from as far away as Missoula, Montana and as close as northern Nevada, with styles ranging from progressive bluegrass to funk-soul-hip-hop to old timey music with a modern twist.

Country and cowboy musician Brenn Hill rounds out June's entertainment roster on June 25. He's the perfect fit to perform while the Reno Rodeo is going on. Of Brenn Hill, says, "…through writing and singing the songs that keep alive the traditions and heart of the American cowboy, he's made a unique commitment to maintain the legend of the West."
