One of the great South Shore secrets has to be the annual summer flea market. Packed will all kinds of odds, ends and hidden treasures, the market is perfect for deal hunters. Free Music at Heavenly Village, Stateline, May 22-23
Heavenly Village will be rocking throughout the summer with the sweet sounds of free live music. Every Friday and Saturday, the Stateline hub will host a variety of bands. Through Memorial Day Weekend, the Village's Basecamp Pizza has invited two very special acts to perform. Friday Night, The Connor Party will take the stage, followed by Some People on Saturday.

New at Lake Tahoe's newest casino, the Splash Day Club is Hard Rock Tahoe's outdoor pool-themed club. The new venue will feature up-and-coming DJs throughout Memorial Day Weekend, including CB Shaw and DJ Loczi. Cabana and day beds are available for reservation.
Made in Tahoe Festival, Squaw Valley, May 23-24
Looking for that perfect souvenir from Lake Tahoe? Check out the Made in Tahoe Fest. Dozens of vendors will offer locally made goods, from shirts to soaps, sculpture to photography. There will also be free live music and a variety of local food vendors, like Bella Bucha Kombucha and Moe's Original BBQ for your dining pleasure.
Start Haus Bike Consignment Sale, Truckee, May 23-25
Trade in your old bike towards credit for a new one. Truckee's Start Haus will host its own kickoff to summer with a special Memorial Day bike sale. Staff will help price your bike and prepare it to sell. If it sells, you'll receive 80 percent store credit. The shop will also be open for repairs and bike and gear sales.
