Artown and Whitney Peak Hotel have brought a fusion of live acoustic music and cuisine to downtown Reno through Heritage Sessions, which features Willy Tea Taylor on June 9.

The series is designed to promote up-and-coming indie musicians while highlighting the flavors of Whitney Peak Hotel’s restaurant, Heritage.

Guests may order items from a specially designed selection of pintxos, Basque-style mini-tapas that are popular in Reno’s international sister city, San Sebastian, Spain, or they may order a la carte from Heritage’s dinner menu.

Willy Tea Taylor is a California-based folk performer and member of the Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit that regularly performs his solo material. He considers John Hartford, Roscoe Holcomb, Bob Dylan, KISS, Weird Al Yankovic and Willie Nelson his biggest musical influences. His latest release, "Knuckleball Prime," received support from artists like Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers), Greg Leisz (Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton) and Gabe Witcher and Noam Pikelny of the Punch Brothers.

Reservations are required: 775-398-5454.
