For one night only, stand-up comedian, actor and director Pauly Shore takes the stage at the Nugget Casino Resort. The show, which is at 8 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Nugget Celebrity Showroom, is for adults 18 and older only.

Shore’s big break came while he was an MTV VJ in 1989. He also hosted “Totally Pauly” and MTV Spring Break party specials. He started acting in movies in 1988, but it was the 1992 hit, "Encino Man" with Sean Astin and Brendan Fraser that really put Shore on the map. More films followed, including "Son in Law," "In the Army Now," "Jury Duty" and "Bio-Dome." He also did some voice acting as the recurring Bobby Zimmeruski character in the Disney "Goofy Movie" franchise.

His first album, "The Future of America," was named best comedy album by the college music journalists in 1991, while the National Association of Record Merchandisers nominated his second album, "Scraps from the Future," for a best-sellers award. Shore is also known for the catchphrase, “Hey, BU-DDY” that was a big part of 1990s pop culture.

Tickets cost $20, plus taxes and fees, and are available at or 800-648-1177.
