Commemorate the end of the Reno Sculpture Fest at the Cargo Afterparty with The Polish Ambassador and Wildlight. The Polish Ambassador was born on the streets of the metropolis' that are Chicago and San Francisco. The Ambassador, as he so often gets called, has honed his sound over the last half a dozen years to create a variety of genres, including mind-altering glitch and electric lullabies. Wildlight is the sonic collaboration of Ayla Nereo and David Sugalski (The Polish Ambassador himself). The duo describes themselves as "the space between the notes, the earth's undulating pulse, the modern echoes of ancient rhythms. It is a sound that will spark your body into motion and swing your soul into flight. An unlikely pairing of a folk songwriter and an electronic music composer has yielded a new sound; music that gracefully traverses human emotions, but can also jumpstart a party into a syncopated bounce."

I-Exist are transcending the limits of modern rock and have always set out to do the unimaginable with their music. They are in the process of a three year trilogy that will give listeners an introduction to the band like they've never had before.
JJ Grey and Mofro and The Mark Sexton Band
Details: Friday, May 22 at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. doors). Tickets are $25. All ages. Buy tickets here.
JJ Grey and Mofro will be joined by The Mark Sexton Band to rock the stage with their Southern Rock and funk sounds. JJ Grey got his start in greasy rock joints playing to whoever would listen. His incredible audience presence leaves everyone in awe by the time the show is over. If you were only a fair weather fan of JJ Grey before seeing him perform, that will definitely not be the case when he's done. Now, with his band Mofro, he brings an even greater stage presence that is not to be missed. The Mark Sexton Band hails from the wild deserts of Reno where they got their musical start in grade school, working hard to refine their sound as young adults. They're bringing a new generation of funk and soul to the world in the vein of greats like Stevie Wonder. This is a show worth springing for.
