Now, fly nonstop from Reno to Dallas
Travelers in Reno will get another option for non-stop flights to the Dallas area in 2017.
Reno-Tahoe International Airport announced that Southwest Airlines will be adding a nonstop flight from the Biggest Little City to Dallas Love Field.
The new seasonal flight will run once a week and is scheduled from Jan. 7 to March 4.
“The seasonal service to Dallas Love Field is another demonstration of our region’s outstanding partnership with Southwest Airlines,” said Marily Mora, Reno‐Tahoe International Airport president and CEO, in a statement. “Southwest provides more flights in our market than any other airline and we truly appreciate their support for Reno‐Tahoe.”
The addition is the latest in a string of good news for the Reno airport, which recently posted record cargo hauls and its first passenger growth in a decade.
Dallas Love Field provides an alternate option for Southwest passengers who do not want to go through the busier Dallas Fort Worth airport. There are currently three daily nonstop flights to Dallas Fort Worth from Reno-Tahoe International Airport via American Airlines. Since Dallas Love Field serves as the headquarters for Southwest, the airport features several connections through the airline’s network.
The new Southwest flight is scheduled to depart from Dallas Love Field at 11 a.m. and arrive in Reno at 12:30 p.m. Flights from Reno depart at 11 a.m. and arrive in Dallas Love Field at 4:05 p.m. Fares are currently at $119 for a one-way trip.
The nonstop flight is the 11th new flight added at Reno-Tahoe International Airport in the last 14 months.
