Sky Tavern’s annual Ski & Sport Swap will take place Oct. 14 and 15 at the former Sports Authority location, 4813 Kietzke Lane in Reno.

The event is the nonprofit organization’s largest community fundraiser and proceeds support the junior ski and outdoor programs.

The Ski & Sport Swap will include new ski and snowboard equipment and clothing from sport shops, a bounce house for kids and an opportunity for community members to sell their own gear.

This year’s event will also allow the public to sell or donate any type of sporting goods at the swap -- bicycles, golf clubs, training equipment, scooters, bats and rackets are welcome.

Entry costs $5 per person or $10 per family on Friday, and free on Saturday.

The swap will be open to shoppers from 5-9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The community can drop off gear from 3-7 p.m. Thursday and from noon to 9 p.m. Friday.

A 19-percent commission on all sales directly benefits Sky Tavern programming. All unsold Items not collected by 2 p.m. on Sunday are donated to Sky Tavern.
