Atlantis Casino Resort Spa’s Bistro Napa is holding a Whiskies of the World Dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 19. During the course of the dinner, guests will enjoy samplings from Japan, Scotland, Canada and the U.S., and will learn about the nuanced national styles of production, flavor and body.

Diageo Master of Whiskey Todd Richman will guide guests through the pairings.

The menu includes: an amuse bouche of angry ahi crudo with fried garlic chips, ginger and fresh basil paired with Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye. Next comes the first course of Irish crab and potato “boxty cake” with jumbo lump crab, Irish potatoes and herb aioli paired with Bulleit Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The second course features wood-fired barramundi with black fig and olive tapenade, grilled artichokes, wilted greens and beurre rouge paired with George Dickel Superior No. 12 Tennessee Sour Mash.

For the third course, guests will tuck into a crisp Scotch egg with Scottish cheddar and house-pickled vegetables paired with Oban 14-year Old. The fourth course is slow-braised beef cheek with caramelized onion and bacon tart, roasted winter root vegetables and a red wine reduction paired with the Talisker Storm. For dessert, guests will tuck into Nutella and banana-filled aebleskivers and caramel gelato.
