Now in its 22nd year, Street Vibrations Fall Rally attendees will ride into town enjoying the inspired vistas and an event with flair and grit unlike any other. Whether you’re hoping to experience the big city life for a few days or settle back in time on the streets of yesteryear, the area has just what you’re hoping for while on the back of a shiny, roaring hog.
Reno riding and revelry
Music, metal, motorcycles — what more could a two-wheel junkie ask for? Well, how about celebrities, auctions, stunt shows, live entertainment, a tattoo expo and fireworks? You’ll find all of this and more cruising through the big event in the biggest little city.
Erik Estrada, in all of his CHiPs glory, will act as grand marshal of Police on Parade Sept. 22, followed by meet and greet opportunities throughout the day. Political plight will ensue when Bill O’Reilly and Dennis Miller take the stage with “Who Wants to be President 2016 Tour” Sept. 23 at the Reno Events Center.
Looking for girls going hog wild? Check out the all-female Zepplin tribute band, Zepparella, as they rock the stage at the Eldorado Plaza both Friday and Saturday nights from 7:30 to 9 p.m. For an added bonus, the International Bikini Team will host competitions and meet and greets at several venues.
Experience the “Real Deal Old School Chopper Show” presented by Mondo Porras and Les Covington of Denver Choppers. Here vintage choppers and bobbers will take the stage Sept. 22–24 inside the Reno Ballroom. Get that adrenaline boost while watching Monte Perlin and his jaw-dropping performances. The former stunt double for Arnold Schwarzenegger will face the Globe-o-Death as he travels at neck-breaking speeds in the 15-foot sphere inside the Circus Circus Hotel Casino Reno.
Downtown Reno is the place to be to experience the hype and heart-pumping action at Street Vibrations.
Unwind in Virginia City
If you are hoping for a meandering cruise through historical Nevada, Virginia City is your Street Vibrations Fall Rally ticket. The views of the Sierra are beautiful as you make your way up Geiger Grade. Stop at the lookout points to take it all in, then ride on to what used to be the richest city in the world from the 1860s to 1880s.
C Street in Virginia City warmly welcomes the parade of motorcyclists making their way through the rustic shops, drink stands and bars. Snap an old time photo with a bar maid in one of the photography studios lining the street. Take a ghost tour through the eerie hotels, cemeteries and haunted bars. If you time it right, a sunset ride awaits as you make your way back to Reno.
Reno and Virginia City will take riders from the newest bike trends to the tried and true classics, and back again. So roar up those engines and make the most of the Fall Rally.
Street Vibrations Fall Rally is scheduled Sept. 21–25 in Reno, Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Virginia City. For more information and full event schedule visit roadshowsreno.com.
