Two little presidential piggies came to town, and put their hooves to the pavement for the 3rd Presidential Pig Race at the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off.

On Thursday, two piglets representing presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump trotted their ways to the finish line, and the dem-“hog”-crat piglet won by more than a snout, leaving the re-“pig”-lican candidate in the pigpen.

“In the age of pork barrel politics with candidates trying to hog the microphone, it’s time to take a lighthearted approach to this very im-“pork”-tant election,” the announcer said right before the pigs took off.

The races began in 2008, but the pigs predicted incorrectly with Republican presidential candidate John McCain winning the pig race, but not the election. In 2012, however, the President Barack Obama pig won by a snout.

Spokesperson Randy Kennedy said that even though there’s no way of knowing if the pigs predict correctly, it’s a fun way to kick-off the event.

“We like to have fun with this every election year,” Kennedy said. “It’s really just our unofficial way of having fun with this election.”
