Sunday marks 15 years since the 2001 terrorist attacks.
These are some upcoming events commemorating those fallen during the attacks:
City of Fallon
WHAT: Governor Brian Sandoval, City of Fallon Mayor Ken Tedford, City Council and community members will honor the lives lost during the 15th annual memorial service.
WHEN: 2:30 p.m. Sept. 11
WHERE: Fallon City Hall Courtyard
DETAILS: Attendees will view a permanent display of a steel beam pulled from the fallen World Trade Center and donated to Fallon by the people of New York City.
Airport and Mayor Schieve Salute Honor Flight WWII Veterans, Recognize 15th Anniversary of 9/11
WHAT: Public is invited to join City of Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, Airport Officials and military supporters from the community to welcome home veterans from Honor Flight. Will also be commemorating the 15th Anniversary of 9/11.
WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 11. Flight arrives on Southwest at 12:15 p.m. Public invited to be at airport at 11:45 a.m.
WHERE: Reno-Tahoe International Airport baggage claim
DETAILS: Approximately 31 veterans of the World War II, Korean and Vietnam wars will be in attendance.
Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus Concert Series
WHAT: The Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy with a four-concert series.
WHEN: Concert series begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.

Sept. 16 Concert: St. Theresa Catholic Church in 1041 Lyons Ave., South Lake Tahoe
Sept. 18 Concert: Cornerstone Church, 300 Country Club Drive, Incline Village
DETAILS: The concert will feature the Brahms Requiem and Lalo's "Symphonie Espagnole" with guest artist Elizabeth Pitcaim performing on the Red Stradivarius Violin. Tickets for all concerts are available at the door or online at www.ToccataTahoe.com. General admission: $30 adults, $25 seniors. Youth/students under age 23 with valid ID: $5. Free for those under 18.
Northern Nevada Veteran's Coalition 9/11 Ceremony in Fernley
WHAT: 9/11 Ceremony in Fernley organized by the Nevada Veteran's Coalition.
WHEN: 12 p.m. Sept. 11
WHERE: Out of Town Park in Fernley
DETAILS: The Nevada Veterans Coalition has held this event every year.
Memorial Ride of Iron Nation's Never Forget 9/11 motorcycle run
WHAT: The 15th Annual Memorial Ride of Iron Nation's Never forget 9/11 motorcycle run.
WHEN: Sept. 10; Sign in from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
WHERE: Wingfield Park, Downtown Reno
DETAILS: 20 dollars for a single rider. 30 dollars with passenger. A ceremony with guest speakers, vendors, food, parade, beverages, raffles and live music. Proceeds to benefit local veteran charities.
