The Lantern Fest will return to Reno on Sept. 24 to provide participants with a spectacular light show. Family and friends, young and old, will join together at the Fernley 95A Speedway in a celebration of life, love and memories beneath a sky illuminated by floating lanterns.

When gates open at 3 p.m., families can settle in to roast s’mores, decorate their lanterns and enjoy entertainment which includes a stage show, face painting, princesses, inflatables and live music. After sunset, participants will come together to release their lanterns, painting the sky gold. Historically, Chinese Lanterns have been used to symbolize good fortune, request favorable weather and celebrate the lives of loved ones.

Lantern Passes can be purchased online and are required for admission to the event. Each pass comes with a lantern, marker, s’mores kit and lighter. Tickets are now available here.
