The Northern Nevada Pride Festival and CommUNITY parade are returning to Reno on July 23. The festival is presented by and will benefit Our Center, a local non-profit and Northern Nevada's only LGBTQ community center. This year's festival and parade are part of Artown.

The parade will be taking a new route this year, starting at 11 a.m. and running down California Avenue from Plumas Street to Arlington Avenue.

The festival will be held from noon to 6 p.m. in Wingfield Park. It is an all-ages event, featuring art, music, booths and entertainment. This year there will be two stages, including a dance tent and a memorial art project that well be sent to Orlando, Florida, to honor the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting.

There is no entry fee for the event, but donations will be accepted at entry locations.

If you are interested in participating in the parade, or having a both at the festival, applications and information can be found here.
