The Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe and Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino are hosting Wine on the Water on June 12. The food and wine tasting event on the resort’s cottage green features wines from more than 25 vineyards, food tastings from local Tahoe restaurants, wine-themed games and a silent auction.
All profits from the event, which historically have been more than $50,000 a year, go directly to the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe to support youth development programs.
“The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe’s support for kids in our region is incredible," said Mindy Carbajal, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club. "We are so thankful for this event and for all the people who participate in it each year. Funds raised at Wine on the Water are instrumental in supporting club programs that impact and change kids’ lives."
The event will run from 1 to 5 p.m. All attendees will enjoy tastings from restaurants like Lone Eagle Grille and Sierra Café, a wine toss sponsored by Leo’s Electric, live music, a silent auction, raffles and more.
This year, ticket buyers can select a new VIP option, enabling guests to enter the event before general admission attendees and experience higher-end tastings and one-on-one time with vintners. Tickets are limited and are available at wineonthewater.org. Prices are $200 for VIP admission and $100 for general admission.
“We are extremely proud of our partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe and of the Wine on the Water event,” said Fred Findlen, general manager of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino. “This event has become something North Lake Tahoe looks forward to every year, and gives the resort a fantastic opportunity to support an important and meaningful local organization.”
