The Easter Bunny is coming to town in a big way this spring in the Truckee Meadows and neighboring communities. Whether you’re looking to take the kids on an egg hunt or get pics with the rabbit himself, the weeks leading up to the holiday will offer bountiful Easter-related activities for kids of all ages. Grab your baskets, don your finest bonnets and hop on down to some these fun Easter events.

March 12-13

The Easter Bunny at Sippee’s

Where: 955 S. Virginia St., Reno

The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance each weekend leading up to Easter from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Sippees. Pictures start at $12.99, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Renown Children’s Hospital.

Meadowood Mall Easter Bunny

Where: Center Court, 5000 Meadowood Mall Circle, Reno

Appearing daily at the mall starting at 10 or 11 a.m., get pics with the bunny throughout the month of March.

March 19-20

Shoppers Square

Where: 370 Casazza Dr., Reno

The 4H Club will hold a rabbit competition at the mall on March 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring up to 120 rabbits in competition. Beginning on the 19th, the Easter Bunny will be making daily appearance for pictures through Easter Sunday.

Reno Town Mall Bunny Pictures

Where: 4001 S. Virginia St., Reno

On March 19 and 26, the Easter Bunny will be posing for photos with kids from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the mall.

Underwater Egg Hunt

Where: Incline Village Rec Center Pool, 893 Southwood Blvd, Incline Village

The Easter Bunny will greet kids at the Incline Village Recreation Center for their Underwater Eggstravaganza from noon to 4 p.m. on March 19. A series of underwater egg hunts will run throughout the day, and are appropriate for kids from infant to 11 years old. The cost is $2 for members and $4 for non-members.

March 26-27

Community Easter Egg Dash

Where: Idlewild Park, Reno

The Bridge Church hosts its annual Easter Egg Dash and food drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Open to ages preschool through sixth grade, the dash itself sets off at 11:30, and the free event also includes bounce houses, raffle drawings, games and candy. Bring non-perishable food items and donate them to the Bridge Food Pantry, which serves 500 needy families each month.

Easter Egg Dash

Where: Comstock Park (Double Diamond Parkway and Carat Dr.)

Starting at 9 a.m., join Hope Fellowship Church to celebrate with an egg hunt, bounce houses and a pancake breakfast – all free.

Easter Egg Hunt at Church of the Nazarene

Where: Oppio Park, 2355 18th St., Sparks

This free event includes inflatables, games and an egg hunt, and runs from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Great Egg Race

Where: Damonte Ranch High School, 10500 Rio Wrangler Parkway, Reno

A series of egg hunts for different age groups start with toddlers at 9:30 a.m. and go throughout the morning. The event, put on by Life Church, is free and includes inflatables, games, refreshments and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.

Great Western Marketplace Easter Egg Hunt

Where: 4855 Summit Ridge Dr., Reno

Each vendor in the GWM will have eggs for the finding on March 26 starting at 11 a.m.

Lahontan Recreation Area Annual Egg Hunt

Where: Lahontan State Recreation Area Day Use Area, Silver Springs, NV

Free and open to kids 12 and under, 3,000 plastic eggs will be hidden throughout the park. Kids will be split up by age group, and a raffle will also be held.

Easter DIY Kids Day at Sparks Florist

Where: 1440 Hymer Ave, Sparks 89431

The whole family can design an Easter floral arrangement to take home. Cookie decorating and a visit from the Easter bunny are also in store. Cost is $44.99 for one adult and one child.  Each additional adult is $34.99 and each additional child is $10.00.
