On Saturday, Feb. 20, Under the Rose Brewing Company will host the second annual winter beer festival, Freeze Your Pints Off, in the back alley behind the popular brewery on Fourth Street. The event will feature more than a dozen local breweries showcasing their strong beers, winter warmers and barrel aged brews. The festival will also include music by local DJs and food options from local food trucks. Tickets start at $45 and include beer tasting, a meal from a local food truck and a commemorative tasting cup.

“Freeze Your Pints Off started out as a way for brewers from around the region to showcase some of their seasonal best and local favorites in a fun setting and this year will be no different,” said Scott Emond, owner and brewmaster at Under the Rose. “We’re looking forward to this great winter weather holding out through February so we hope to see everyone in their winter best ready for some incredible beer, good food and exciting entertainment.”

In addition to Under the Rose, participating breweries include Alibi Ale Works, Brew Brothers, Brewer’s Cabinet, Great Basin Brewing Company, High Sierra Brewing Company, Imbib Custom Brews, Tahoe Mountain Brewing Company, The Brewing Lair and Virginia City Brewing. Food options include Mellow Yellow, Still Rollin and Nom Eats while Java Ship will be serving up their finest roasts and hot chocolate.
