The eighth annual free Trick or Treat Street takes place from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 29. Trick-or-treating children can move from booth to booth collecting treats provided by the casino.

Food barrels will be present to accept nonperishable donations for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.

An Industry Halloween party takes place Oct. 27 in The Brew Brothers. DJ Chris English provides music, and sexiest and best group costume contests award $1,000.

Student Bloody Thursday takes place Oct. 29 in The Brew Brothers. Most original, best group and sexiest costume categories award $1,200.

Bloody Beats with sounds by Romance and Denver Miller take place at the All Hallows Eve party Oct. 30 in NoVi. Scariest, sexiest, most original and group categories award $1,300. There is a $5 cover charge but no cover for guests in costume.

The Blood Brothers party takes place Oct. 31 in The Brew Brothers. Sexiest, best group and scariest costumes share $1,500. The cover is $10 and $5 for guests wearing a costume.

A Sexy and Sinister party takes place Oct. 31 in NoVi. Costume contests award $2,000, and music will be provided by DJ Luera and Romance. The cover is $10 and $5 for guests wearing costumes.

A special $5 wristband gets guests wearing costumes ($10 for guests not wearing costumes) into both The Brew Brothers and NoVi parties taking place Halloween night.

Battlefield Z takes place from 6 p.m. to closing Fridays and Saturdays in October in FunQuest. The competition in the laser tag arena is to get as many zombies in five minutes before they get you. The cost is $10 for two rounds, and guests must be 10 or older.

The Flirt With Evil version of Flirt Thursday in LEX takes place Oct. 29. The sexiest costumes share $500, and admission is free.

Nightmare Before LEX takes place Oct. 30 with $1,000 in prizes. Admission starts at $20.

Mad LEX takes place Oct. 31. Costume contests award $5,000, and the top prize for sexiest and most creative costumes is $1,200. Admission is $25.

A Rocking Dead Halloween Bash and Costume Contest starts at 10 p.m. Oct. 31 in Vinyl. The live band is Cover Me Badd. Entry is free for guests in costumes and $10 for those not wearing costumes.

The midnight costume contest offers $250 for first place and free play prizes for second and third places.

Costumes cannot include masks, real or fake weapons or makeup that makes the guest unidentifiable.

The Brews and Boos Beer Festival takes place Oct. 30 in the Nugget Ballroom. Doors open at 8 p.m. for general admission and at 7 p.m. for VIP ticket holders.

Craft and seasonal beers will be provided by local brewers and vendors. The brewers will be in costume, and guests wearing costumes can compete for prizes.

The band Snake Oil Sinners will cover performers such as Def Leppard, Queen, Aerosmith, Ozzie, Led Zeppelin and Guns and Roses. The band will be wearing appropriate costumes, makeup and wigs.

Tickets cost $50 for general admission and $65 for VIP admission. Tickets increase by $10 the day of the event. VIP tickets allow guests early admission for tasting and a chance to talk with the brewers.

A Game Lab Halloween Extravaganza takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 30 in the Game Lab arcade. All proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.

The Dirty Bourbon River Show takes place from 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 29 and from 8 p.m. to midnight Oct. 30-31 in Terrace. The show includes hard driving blues, Lisztian piano, New Orleans brass and a circus atmosphere.

A $10,000 Halloween contest takes place two nights in EDGE. The Slasher party takes place Oct. 30. The scariest, sexiest and most creative costumes each win $1,000.

The Skin ‘n’ Scare Monster Ball takes place Oct. 31. DJ Made Monster will provide the music. Sexiest, scariest and most creative costumes each win $2,000.
