The holiday season comes to life with the Reno Phil’s annual celebration, “Spirit of the Season,” Dec. 5-6 at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. The Reno Phil orchestra and chorus provide a whimsical and energetic performance featuring a variety-style combination of singers, dancers, jolly Saint Nick himself and other special guests, including more than 200 students on violin. The concert is conducted by Dr. Jason Altieri and Jennifer Tibben, chorus director.

“Spirit of the Season’s” special guests include mariachi, bell ringers, Fascinating Rhythm dancers, the Reed High School vocal ensemble, acapella and vocal soloists and Santa Claus and his elves. The music program includes holiday music favorites and classic carols such as “Spirit of the Season,” “A Feast of Carols,” “Hanukkah Festival,” “Go Tell it on the Mountain” and a Christmas sing-along. More than 250 musicians, singers, dancers and performers will join to celebrate the season for this holiday concert.
