We sat down with her to find out a little more about her family, fashion icons and more.

Tell us about yourself.

I grew up in Connecticut, but have lived in Northern Nevada for 10 years, and Reno truly is home to me. I love this biggest little city of ours! During the week, I work in finance, which means East Coast market hours. I am a corporate bond trader by day, and a fashion blogger at Two Peas in a Prada by night. My best friend and business partner, Ashley, and I started Two Peas in a Prada almost three years ago "just for fun," and we cannot believe how far it has come. Today, we travel to multiple fashion weeks, we work with national brands and our blog drives more revenue than we ever could have imagined.

I live in Reno with my husband, Joseph, our two boys, William (2 years) and David (3 months), and our huge golden retriever, Henry. In my spare time (what little I have) I love cooking, heading up to our house at the lake, hiking ... whatever allows me to spend time with my family.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Minimalist with a feminine flair. If it has ruffles, bows or scalloped edges -- that's me. I also tend toward classic, preppy, New England style. It's where I was born, it's my roots, and it will always be a part of who I am. There is nothing better to me than a classic, ivory, knit fisherman's sweater.

Q: Who are your favorite designers?

A: I will always have a huge fondness for Ralph Lauren. I adore his classic American style -- and the brand he has built on his vision of Americana is something I will always admire. For the more obvious ones: Oscar de la Renta, Karl Lagerfeld and Phoebe Philo.

For a more contemporary, attainable designer, I recently had the privilege of attending Erin Fetherston's runway show in New York, and I am obsessed with her. She is a mother, a fashion designer, and an incredible entrepreneur -- not to mention she's just stunning to look at, and so are her clothes.

Q: Is there an era that speaks to you?

A: I love '90s minimalism: white tees, jeans, slip dresses. There is nothing better.

Q: Who is your style icon?

A: Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. She had the most effortless, classic, minimalist style.  For street style, I love Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert.

Q: What are your three favorite pieces?

A: A long-line black blazer -- my favorite right now is by Elizabeth and James, a classic blue-and white-striped button-down shirt, and an ivory cable-knit fisherman's sweater. For summer, I love gauzy tees in black, white and gray, classic white button-downs, and breezy slip dresses. I'm also really loving statement sleeves this season -- they're everywhere.

Q: What's your easy, go-to outfit?

A: Elizabeth and James or Theory blazer (in black or white), a tailored white Valentino button down that was my husband's (I stole it and had it altered), Frame Denim Jeans, and Jimmy Choo pumps or Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots.

Q: What won’t you leave the house without?

A: I'm a new mom. So, I never leave the house without my diaper bag, breast pump and huge Celine sunglasses. The lenses are super dark and they hide my tired eyes better than any others I've found. We also have a golden retriever, so I carry five lint rollers with me at all times.

Q: What trends do you hate?

A: Denim skirts. Festival fashion. Brights.

Q: What trends do you love?

A: I am loving statement sleeves, banker's stripes, monochromatic looks and of course, loafer mules.
