The Reno Fire Department and Reno Police Department are selling custom pink shirts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Standard t-shirts, women’s-style shirts, long-sleeve shirts and hoodies are available in adult and youth sizes with either the Reno Fire Department or Reno Police Department logos. Proceeds will go to support Moms on the Run, a nonprofit organization in Reno that assists local breast and gynecological cancer patients during treatments.

“We thank the community for their participation in and support of our charity-driven events that help us connect to our citizens,” Fire Equipment Operator Brandon Blackbern said in a written news release. “We also recognize Autism Awareness Month during April with special shirts.”

The Reno Fire Department staff will also wear new navy blue uniform shirts with a pink logo and pink ribbon on the chest. The Reno Police Department joined the effort last year and wore pink shirts to support the cause.

In 2015, the pink shirts campaign raised $5,090 for Moms on the Run, the release said. The pink pen campaign raised $1,000 for Susan G. Komen of Northern Nevada. An additional $365 from the Reno Police Department’s 2015 Race for the Cure team went to Susan G. Komen of Northern Nevada.
