From top names in stand-up comedy to one of the nation's most popular country music groups, the upcoming entertainment lineup at Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno sparkles with stars. Guests can plan a first-rate fall weekend around their favorite performer and round out the fun with great gaming and fantastic food.

"No one in Reno has bigger entertainment than Silver Legacy. Just about every weekend you can find a notable performer, whether it be a comedian, music group or even the cast of a TV variety show," said Sara Robbins, publicist for Silver Legacy. "There's always someone here and always something to look forward to. Plus, we are in the heart of downtown Reno and just across the street from the Reno Events Center, which is the city's biggest entertainment venue."

In fact, country favorites Rascal Flatts performed Thursday, Sept. 24 at the Reno Events Center. One of the most awarded country groups of the past decade, Rascal Flatts has sold close to 23 million albums and has a long list of No. 1 hits.

"They are one of the biggest-selling country music groups of all time, so you know that's guaranteed to be a great show," Robbins said.

For October, the entertainment calendar opens with Ron White, an original member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Known for performing while sipping Scotch and smoking cigars, White will take the stage Saturday, Oct. 3 at Silver Legacy's Grande Exposition Hall. Later in the month, this same venue will showcase a stand-up star with whole different kind of comedy.

"We're really excited to see Carrot Top on Friday, Oct. 23. If you haven't seen him live before, he uses a lot of props in his performance and is known for pulling random items out of a suitcase and making jokes with them," Robbins said. "It's a different approach to comedy that has become signature for him — next to his full, bright red head of hair."

The following weekend, Silver Legacy hosts its annual Wild Erotic Ball on Halloween. In partnership with Wild 102.9, this sexy celebration features DJs and terrific costumes. Then, as the calendar turns to November, country music takes the Silver Legacy spotlight once again with a Saturday, Nov. 7 performance by Dwight Yoakam.

The rest of November unfolds with Friday night performances by a series of big-name entertainers on stage at Silver Legacy: Collective Soul on Nov. 6, Jo Koy on Nov. 13, Terry Fator on Nov. 20 and Rodney Carrington on Nov. 27.

"Thanksgiving will be extra special this year as we welcome back comedian Rodney Carrington," Robbins said. "Having a comedian here during a big holiday weekend gives our guests a different way to celebrate, and we'll even cook the turkey for you."

Along with a grand Thanksgiving menu, Silver Legacy also offers delicious dining year-round, with an array of stellar restaurants, such as Sterling's Seafood Steakhouse. According to Robbins, Sterling's is the most-booked OpenTable restaurant in Reno-Tahoe and has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 16 times in a row.
