Mother's Day provides an opportunity to show appreciation for all Mom has done for you over the years.

You can help celebrate her day by enjoying some fine dining at Reno's hotel and casino restaurants, which have gone to great lengths to prepare for the occasion.

Here is what they have in store:

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa:

A gourmet brunch buffet will be served from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. Cost: $46.95 and $17.95 ages 4-10.

A champagne brunch will be served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner will be served from 3-9 p.m. in Toucan Charlie's Buffet and Grille. Cost for each: $32.99 and $14.99 ages 4-10.

Four-course dinners with a choice of wood-grilled salmon or braised beef short rib will be served from 4 p.m. in the Steakhouse. Prix Fixe cost From $55.

Four-course dinners with a choice of potato-crusted Alaskan halibut or bacon-wrapped filet tornedos and lobster tail will be served from 4 p.m. in Bistro Napa. Prix fixe cost From $52.

The Manhattan Deli serves steak and scampi for $20 and a salmon Caesar salad for $15 from 11 a.m.

Oscar Benedict will be served for $12.99 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Purple Parrot. A broiled game hen will be served for $19.99 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Eldorado Resort Casino:

Millies24 serves special entrees from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Special meals include a seafood omelet with crab, shrimp and scallops with hollandaise; chicken scampi with linguine; and a baby arugula and spinach salad with goat cheese. Moms dining at the restaurant get a free dessert.

The Buffet serves a special brunch from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu includes shrimp cocktails, smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs with ricotta and chives, roast turkey breast, broiled sirloin steak with wild mushrooms, leg of lamb with mint pesto, bacon-wrapped pork loin, mini crab cakes and mushroom ravioli.

Cost: $27.99 and $14.99 children younger than 10, $22.99 Gold club members and above. Moms get a free flower.

Roxy, La Strada and the Prime Rib Grill serve their regular menus starting at 5 p.m., and moms on Mother's Day get a free dessert when dining at the restaurants.

The Sweet Shoppe and Bakery at Millies24 offers made-to-order custom cakes for Mother's Day, graduations and other special occasions.

Favorites include white cake with layers of strawberries, pastry cream, Grand Marnier and butter cream frosting; pina colada cake with coconut, pineapple and rum; chocolate cake with fudge, Chambord, raspberries and whipped cream; lemon zinger cake with lemon syrup, lemon curd and butter cream frosting; and chocolate cake with New York cheesecake and ganache. Almond rocha, turtles and chocolate-covered strawberries also are available.

The bakery asks for a week's notice for made-to-order cakes.

Grand Sierra Resort:

Dinner will be served from 4-9:30 p.m. in Charlie Palmer Steak. Selections include prosciutto-wrapped asparagus with truffle-poached egg and frisee for $14; crab and lobster cocktail for $18; crab-crusted filet mignon for $48;Prime prime rib for $50; and a trio of blackberry and mint parfait, raspberry-almond tartelette and huckleberry granite for $8.

Bruscola serves an all-inclusive meal for $55 from noon to 9 p.m. The meal includes baked gnocchi with mushroom cream; lobster bisque or watermelon salad with goat cheese and Dungeness crab; crab- and shrimp-stuffed lobster; and Italian wedding cake.

Grand Cafe serves a special meal for $29.99 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The meal includes a salad with asiago crisp or tomato bisque; free-range chicken breast with chardonnay reduction; and a salted caramel chocolate tart.

Elements Buffet serves a champagne brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu includes turkey, prime rib, ham with an apricot-honey glaze, leg of lamb, grilled rib-eye steaks, made-to-order omelets, breast of chicken Marsala, herb-crusted duck, sirloin steak Colorado, oysters on the half shell and artisan pizzas.

Cost: $27.99 and $14.99 for children. Moms get a free carnation.

The menu includes turkey, prime rib, ham with an apricot-honey glaze, rosemary leg of lamb, roast pork loin, roast duck, pan-fried petrale sole, Indian chicken curry, seafood pasta Alfredo, south-of-the-border specials and noodle soups with pork, chicken, shrimp or beef.

Cost: $27.99 and $14.99 for children. Moms get a free carnation.

Nugget Casino Resort:

A buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Nugget Ballroom and from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Rotisserie Buffet. Selections include chilled prawns, smoked fish, prime rib, ham, roast turkey, grilled salmon with lemon couscous, made-to-order omelets and eggs Benedict.

Cost: $22.95 and $12.95 ages 5-11.

The Rotisserie Buffet will serve a Mother's Day dinner from 5-9 p.m. Cost: $22.95 and $12.95 ages 5-11.

A three-course dinner will be served for $49 from 4-8 p.m. in the Steakhouse Grill. The meal includes minted spring garden soup with crème fraiche or champagne salad; prime rib or coconut prawns; and Lady Godiva chocolate cheesecake mousse with caramel.

Rosie's Cafe serves special three-course meals from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The meals include soup or salad; seafood crepes with lobster sauce or a grilled sirloin steak with peppercorn butter; and strawberry shortcake. Cost: $16.95.

Peppermill Resort Spa Casino:

Bimini serves a special meal from 5:30-9:30 p.m. The meal includes a grilled shrimp Caesar salad, steak Diane and strawberry gateau. Cost: $42 and $62 with wine pairings.

Cafe Milano serves two eggs; cheese blintzes with macerated strawberries and whipped cream; and mimosas or champagne from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost: $15.95.

Oceano serves special meals from 4-10 p.m. Selections include seared diver scallops; pan-seared sea bass with sweet soy marinade or wood-grilled rib-eye with miso polenta; and a raspberry dome with lemon chiboust creme center. Cost: $46.

A brunch will be served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Biscotti's. Chilled Prosecco sparkling wine will be served tableside.

The menu includes jumbo prawns and king crab legs, smoked salmon with capers, an Oceano sushi platter, grilled chicken with rosemary-Dijon sauce, petite seafood pasta with cream sauce, petite noisettes of beef, pan-seared salmon and lamb chops with mint jus.

Cost: $38.95 and $15.95 ages 4-11.

The Island Buffet serves a Mother's Day champagne brunch and dinner from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Breakfast items are served until 2 p.m. Selections chilled shrimp and cracked crab, made-to-order omelets, steak eggs Benedict, prime rib, rotisserie turkey, leg of lamb, grilled rib-eye steaks, grilled swordfish, chicken cordon bleu, Baja fish tacos, fajitas and Asian wok specials. Cost: $29.99 and $14.99 ages 4-11.

Spa Toscana offers Dreamsicle specials for moms in May. The vanilla- and mandarin-scented specials include manicures or pedicures for $55, a Dream scrub and massage for $165 and a Dream Delight scrub, massage and pedicure for $185.

Silver Legacy Resort Casino:

Sterling's Seafood Steakhouse serves a brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu includes made-to-order omelets, prime rib hash, grilled lamb chops, petit filet tips, oysters Rockefeller, gravlax, mimosas and bellinis. Cost: $44.99 and $24.99 ages 4-12. Moms get a free rose.

Flavors! the Buffet serves a brunch from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu features chilled snow crab legs and shrimp, made-to-order omelets, Belgian waffles, smoked salmon Benedict, prime rib, leg of lamb, honey-baked bone-in ham, chardonnay-baked sea bass, shrimp scampi and cioppino. Cost: $26.99 and $13.49 ages 4-10.

Cafe Central is serving a special meal for $21.95 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The meal includes soup or salad; petit filet mignon and shrimp scampi; and a strawberry mousse parfait.

Whitney Peak Hotel:

A Mother's Day brunch will be served from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Heritage Restaurant. The menu includes smoked salmon deviled eggs, Caesar salad, penne pasta salad, scrambled eggs with cheddar and creme fraiche, bacon, sausage, ham, eggs Benedict and omelets made-to-order.

Cost: $25 and $15 ages 12 and younger. Bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys cost $15.
