Ice skate in downtown Reno

Rink on the River is fun for the entire family

Ice skating outside is a must-do in winter. The Rink on the River is closed for the season, but mark your calendar for next winter; it's something not to be be missed. Located in downtown Reno, right along the Truckee River, it's Reno's very own slice of urban living, set under the stars.

Information about the 2011-2012 winter season:



Admission:
$7.50 adults (ages 13-54)
$5.50 youth (ages 3-12)
$5.50 seniors (ages 55+)


Skate rentals:$2.50 -- Skates from kid size 7 to adult size 16 available.

Payment by cash or check only.


10 Visit Punch Passes:
Including skate rental: $85 for adults, $65 for youth & seniors
Without skate rental: $65 for adults, $45 for youth & seniors

Season Passes: $140 adults, $100 youth & seniors.
Admission only; does not include skate rental.

Hours:
Monday: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 6 - 10 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 7:30 - 10 p.m.
Wednesday/Thursday: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 6 - 10 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 6 - 11 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Groups of 20 or more skaters receive free skate rental if reservations are made a minimum of two weeks in advance. Private rink rentals are also available.

The rink is at 10 North Virginia Plaza, at the corner of First and Virginia Streets in Downtown Reno along the Truckee River. Because the rink is weather-dependent, make sure to call before you go: (775) 334-6268.
