Reno River Festival to 'Run Amuck' again
Get down and dirty at event's fun run
It’s finally here – the 2nd annual Run Amuck fun run May 9 at the Reno River Festival. Get ready to get down and dirty, literally, while crawling through a 60-foot-long mud pit and traversing a variety of other “mystery obstacles” during this costumed 2.5-mile, two-person relay race that goes from downtown Reno’s Wingfield Park to Idlewild Park and back. The ruckus begins at 1 p.m. with the costume contest and the race starts at 2 p.m.
Registration is now available online at www.RenoRiverFestival.com/RunAmuck and participants are invited to the official Reno River Festival Kick-Off Party at West Street Market the night prior to pick up race day packets and goodie bags. Registration is $50 per two-person team and includes entry into the costume contest. In addition to costume contest prizes, awards are also given for first, second and third-to-last place.
The Truckee River Whitewater Park is located just minutes from Reno’s 24-hour gaming excitement and other attractions including dining and nightlife, golf, hiking and bike trails, skiing and snowboarding, lakes and a selection of art museums and galleries. For more details about Run Amuck or the 6th annual Reno River Festival, visit www.RenoRiverFestival.com or call 775-784-9400 x 119.
