Reno Phil’s 'Spirit of the Season' concert on Dec. 6
Broadway Star Susan Egan returns to Reno and Michael Borowitz leads the orchestra

For the Spirit of the Season concert, new traditions are being made. The concert has been a staple in the holiday events for the region. This year's performance will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 t at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. at the Grand Theatre inside the Grand Sierra Resort.
The local favorite holiday concert will bring back acclaimed Broadway star, Susan Egan, Ms. Egan performed with the Phil in July 2003 at the popular Pops on the River.
Egan has traversed all four corners of the entertainment industry, making powerful impressions in theatre, film, television and music. She starred on Broadway as Thoroughly Modern Millie, won critical acclaim as Broadway’s (longest-running) “Sally Bowles” in Cabaret, and received Tony Award and Drama Desk nominations for “Best Actress” as the original “Belle” in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. She’s been seen on film in 13 Going on 30, Gotta Kick It Up, countless independents and voiced the animated characters of “Meg” in Disney’s Hercules, and “Lin” in the Academy Award-winning Spirited Away, among others.
The orchestra will be lead by Nevada Opera general director and conductor, Michael Borowitz.
