Here it comes, the blast from the past for auto buffs and rock ‘n’ roll fans, Hot August Nights 2008, Aug. 2 - 10 in venues across Reno and Sparks. Dust of the saddleshoes and bring out the bobbysox.
Relive the days of yesteryear with classic cars from 1972 and older and enjoy the tunes of the ’50s and ’60s. More than 700,000 people have enjoyed the festivities from all over the nation and Canada.
Besides checking out the cherry rides, participants can take in dozens of concerts, many of them at no charge, and dance with an “Earth Angel” at the prom. If you haven’t spent all your dough on your steady girl, classic cars to call your own or parts for the hot rod in the garage can be found at the Reno Swap Meet and Cool Car Showroom, the Big Boy Toy Store and the Silver Auction.
