Reno Rodeo: What every cowboy and cowgirl should bring
Cowboys and non-cowboys alike have fun at the Reno Rodeo. Western hats and attire are fun, but not required. Wearing a hat and sunglasses is suggested at the evening performances to prevent the setting sun from getting in your eyes while trying to watch the action in the arena.
Hot Reno days can quickly turn into cool evenings, so be sure to bring a jacket or sweat shirt to keep out the chill while rooting for your favorite cowboy. A blanket or seat cushion on the metal bleachers can also help make the event more comfortable.
Crowded parking can make for a long walk from the car. Wear comfortable shoes and if you're wearing sandals, be sure to watch your step as most of the events take place on dirt grounds.
The action in the arena is quick, so be sure to bring a camera and extra film to capture your favorite Rodeo moment.
