Steven Kravitz and Morgan Preston - May 6 - 11
The hilarious Steven Kravitz makes an appearance at Catch Reno this week with supporting act, Morgan Preston.
Kravitz's style of comedy involves traditional stand-up with a little improvisation thrown in for good measure. Kravitz's training in acting allows him to utilize his physical and verbal creativity to compliment his act.
Steven Kravitz film and television credits include (but not limited to) “Nash Bridges,” “The Drew Carey Show,” and “Full Frontal Comedy.” Film credits include “The Woman in Red,” “Sudden Impact,” “Mr. Saturday Night,” as well as “The Hot Chick,” and “The Animal,” with Rob Schneider.
Fielding West and Patrick DeGuire - May 13 - 18
Fielding West, comedian and magician was introduced to magic by his grandfather during his youth. While West was in grad school he met and unknown comedy magician named Steve Martin. After seeing him perform he knew he wanted to be in show business for the rest of his life. Catch Fielding West and Patrick DeGuire this week at Catch A Rising Star comedy club.
After meeting Martin, Fielding started his own Saturday morning magic show for children in Jacksonville, Florida. “Magic Gang” became the highest rated children’s show in it’s time slot for two years. Later he toured the nation with his own show, “The Amazing Fielding West and Company,” and arrived in Las Vegas.
Good fortune led him to meet Liberace who helped him showcase his act at the Sahara Hotel. From that moment on WEST starred as a featured comedy magician and went on to numerous appearances in major production shows and as an opening act for top stars.
As a comedy star, Fielding has opened for such great stars as Liza Mennelli, Charo, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Temptations, Mel Tillis, just to name a few. WEST has also numerous television appearances including A&E, “Caroline’s Comedy Hour,” NBC’s “World’s Greatest Magic,” “World’s Wildest Magicians” hosted by Penn & Teller and a reoccurring role on ABC’s “The Jackie Thomas Show."
