Renovation and expansion includes new condos, restaurants, nightclubs and more
February 6, 2008
Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR), northern Nevada’s largest destination resort, is in phase one final stages of its $90 million renovation project.
The property’s restaurants and bars, lobby areas and casino floor have undergone vast changes with the addition of several well-known new food and beverage outlets and entertainment venues in the past year-and-a-half.
Nikki Beach
GSR kicked off the summer in 2007 with its new seasonal poolside venue, Nikki Beach, one of the world’s leading lifestyle and entertainment brands featuring cocktail service, celebrity hosts and nightly entertainment.
Nikki Beach also brought AllCity Live, a sought-after, modern-retro rock nightclub with live entertainment and celebrity hosts, to the property.
The Summit
The resort transformed the upper 11 floors into luxury condominium hotel, The Summit at Grand Sierra.
The condo units feature sensual leather and suede upholstered furniture, flat panel televisions, high-end appliances including microwaves and mini refrigerators, coffeemakers, as well as other lavish furnishings, contemporary art accents, walnut cabinetry and luxurious marble and granite surfaces. Sitting atop of a spectacular 27-story tower, its 825 suites overlook the beautiful panoramic views of the Sierra Mountains.
Dolce Enoteca
Proudly presenting the second location of Los Angeles' famous Dolce Enoteca e Ristorante, Grand Sierra Resort cements its reputation as a world-class destination for culinary delights.
Known for its celebrity endorsements and sophisticated décor, Dolce delivers eclectic Italian cuisine.
Charlie Palmer
Reno's first celebrity chef brings his inventive and world-famous dining experience to Grand Sierra Resort with two restaurants: Charlie Palmer Steak and Fin Fish.
The world-renowned chef sets the table of his signature steakhouse, Charlie Palmer Steak, with new decadent dishes and many traditional favorites. His first seafood concept, Fin Fish, is a fresh take on seafood complete with a freshly made chowder station and an exquisite oyster bar.
Meeting and convention space
The property is also upgrading its 200,000 square feet of meeting and convention space with $3.5 million in renovations and enhancements. The 11th largest convention space in the country, GSR provides business travelers and meeting planners with extensive meeting and exhibit space located in its own wing.
Waterpark in the works
Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is bringing more exciting attractions to the resort. The property has plans to bring one of America’s largest indoor water parks, a water laser show, expanded celebrity entertainment and more.
