It's good to be a local if the locale is Reno

I haven't done this in this space before but I'm going to recommend a place that is giving locals a total steal. Grand Sierra Resort's Lodge Buffet is normally about $18 a person. For buffets, that's about standard, and if you're my boyfriend, you still get your money's worth; the man can eat. Especially seafood.
But for the time being, GSR is offering locals the chance to chow for just $7.77. Even on weekends. All you have to do is swipe your local ID in one of the kiosks around the casino, and you get a coupon good for four people. That's it. No signing up for anything.
We went there last night, six of us total, and man, what a feast. I ate so many shrimp I started to grow gills. I passed on the crab legs; they looked great and people were going to town on them, but I wasn't in the mood to have to crack them. Too many other great things to eat.
Anyway, this isn't a dining review, just a head's up that if you haven't tried it yet, and you're a local, now's the time to give it a shot. Good stuff and expanded waistlines await!
