About The Shane Dwight Band
The Shane Dwight Band is known for its high octane, dance 'till you drop rock & blues and is a recent winner of the Monterey Blues Festival Battle of the Bands.
Featuring a bluesy-rockin’ dance-drive layered with soulful vocals and crisp guitar, the band will be performing more than 180 shows throughout the United States in 2008.
Although SDB’s music is blues based, the band's ability to cross over to a variety of different audiences is evidenced in their current concert schedule which has them working at venues as diverse as county fairs, Disneyland theme parks, opening for major country, blues, and rock artists and appearing as the house band on Microsoft's Nationally Broadcast television show, Microsoft Insider LIVE.
Other impressive gigs
In the past two years the band has played at many prestigious concerts such as the Monterey Blues Festival, Oklahoma Blues Festival, Fire on The Mountain Festival, Reno Blues and Brews Festival, Portland Oregon Waterfront Festival, San Francisco Jazz Festival, S.F. California Blues Festival, Florida "Springing The Blues" Festival, Central Valley Blues Festival, San Jose Comcast Jazz Festival, San Jose Metro Fountain Blues Festival and the Redwood Coast Jazz Festival (Eureka).
