December 17, 2007

Controlled Burn performance artists were part of the festivities beginning 5 p.m. Dec. 13 at the third-annual Cal Ave Holiday Stroll.

Merchants along California Avenue to Arlington Street decorated for the holidays, stayed open a little later and offered specials to shoppers who strolled the sidewalks.

Patrons were treated to lighted rides in a horse-drawn wagon, hot cocoa and cider and entertainment.

Members of Holland Project braved the cold temps and brought back their Double Dutch Street battle to please the crowd. Teams included the Animal Liberation Jump, Quantum Leapers and Bandidas, and tied winners The Tight Ropes and Miracle Rodeo Princesses!

At half-time, Reno's own Battle Born Derby Demons entertained.
