The collaboration celebrates the return of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra to its “summer home” and forges a renewed partnership for planning the Festival’s schedule, programs and soloists.
The Reno Philharmonic Orchestra will play the Festival’s 2008 season-opening concert on Saturday, July 19 at Homewood Mountain Resort along with other Festival concerts continuing through the finalé on Saturday, Aug. 9.

Long known for presenting the finest classical music at Lake Tahoe, the Lake Tahoe Music Festival annually brings a varied selection of musical performances to North Lake Tahoe including classic jazz, rock and Broadway, as well as popular classical music concerts.
The non-profit organization also has an Educational Outreach Program that presents in-school performances throughout the year at area elementary and high schools, operates a free music lesson and instrument loan program at the Truckee Elementary School and features local, award-winning youth musicians during its summer concert series.
