September 14, 2007
Brad Morehouse, 48, of Afton, Wy., was killed 2:45 p.m. Sept. 13 when the L-39 Albatross he was flying crashed at the National Championship Air Races.
Morehouse appeared to be caught in a wash or wake of the jet flying in front of his and as he attempted to correct, his plane crashed and burned near the home pylon.
The No. 4 jet, dubbed "Dino Juice" was owned by Morehouse, a land developer, and sponsored by Afton Airpark and Afton Flight Service.
Despite the loss of Morehouse and pilot Steve Dari Sept. 11, the races continued the following day, Sept. 14.
