Food Bites: A blog about Reno’s dining and restaurant scene

A friend of mine called, screaming, "I need a muffin! I crave a muffin! Where can we get one?"

It was 2 p.m. I was at a loss for words - clearly, this friend did not know of My Favorite Muffin, the one-stop muffin shop in Reno. What was wrong with this person, I asked myself. How was this possible? Some re-education was clearly in order.

"My Favorite Muffin" is a cornucopia of all things muffin-related, but that's only the beginning. They have bagels and, from parts unknown, a supply of salmon allowing them provide lox & cream cheese bagel sandwiches; this was my treat of choice that day.

My friend went down a more traditional road, grabbing a blueberry bagel and a bran muffin. We were both very pleased with our orders, but at this place, it’s kind of hard not to be.

They also have various iced coffee drinks and some good Oregon Chai teas. This is a great location to eat/drink inside at, as well. Since My Favorite Muffin is set up much like a coffee house, feel free to take your time!
