The Hunt for a Yummy Salad: Where to go for more hurrah and less blah, blah, blah

Food Bites: A blog about Reno’s dining and restaurant scene

Can anyone tell me where I can get a fabulous salad in this city, that isn’t dull, too small, or a mere bellyache waiting to happen? I’m not a fan of fruit in salads, and am sick of the typical flavor-filled salads, which include bleu cheese and bacon bits. I want something more!

The best places in Reno to get a salad are Buenos Grill, Chili’s, and any sushi place that offers seaweed salad, but I’m looking for something less standard and more exciting. Maybe somewhere that doesn’t go crazy with the tomatoes, or somewhere that adds a new ingredient to the mix that most other places wouldn’t have ever thought of. Let me know your thoughts, Reno. Because I’m at a stand-still, and am in need of some serious greenery in my food intake situation.
