Friday Night Farmers Market: Fresh food and family-friendly
Each Friday stop by City Plaza for activities, food, music and more
July 31, 2007
Local farmers and businesses are uniting to bring fresh food to downtown Reno this summer. The Friday Night Farmers Market will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 6 through September 28, at 10 North Virginia Street. Plenty of free parking surrounds the Plaza.
See the partnership of local farmers and market chefs as fresh food is prepared on site. The Downtown Marketplace will serve farm-fresh salads and wraps made with local produce. Deep-fried vegetables, fruit salads, and fresh roasted corn will be offered by market chefs. Ice-cream lovers can indulge in a scoop of their favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream served in a Hearts ‘O Gold cantaloupe later in the season.
Children’s activities, stage and strolling entertainment, local artisans and nonprofit groups will add more flavor to the community event.
