Summer's here. School's nearly over, and the heat is on its way. Pack up the family and head to Wild Island Water Park in Sparks for fun-filled day of relaxation.

Visit any one of the popular attractions, including the Eye of the Dragon, "a spinning vortex of swirlin', whirlin' fun", or the Dragon's Tail -- a "twistin', turnin' body slidin' adventure."

Try the Stingray and Shark Bait slides; ride the rapids of Tortuga; enjoy the interactive fun for kids and adults at the Hurricane Cove: Water gun stations; a giant cascading waterfall spilling 650 gallons of water from a bucket on top of the tree house; tube slides; and rope pulls.

Float the Lazy River; visit the Little Lagoon for tiny tots; body surf in the Montego Bay wave pool; float on a tube.; fly on the The Scorpion-half-pipe tube ride; or zoom down the speed slides: Red Viper, Black Widow.

"This summer's newest attraction: The Fire & Ice - two brand new enclosed body slides- Fire propels you through red and silver translucent flashes of color. Ice swallows you in a cavern of deep blue and silver then opens up to daylight," according to the Wild Island website.
