Sierra Nevada Outdoors and Different Strokes Kayaking present Kids Kayak Camp 2007, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 9 to 12 at Wingfield Whitewater Park on the Truckee River in downtown Reno.
Cost is $250 per person for the four-day, all-inclusive camp. The program , for kids interested in learning to whitewater kayak, covers the basics through intermediate skills for kayaking and river running. Age groups are 10 to 13 and 14 to 17 years old.
Parents can drop off and pick up children each day at the whitewater park. Camp includes all river equipment, certified instructors, lunch, drinks, and local transportation.
