Michael's Deli has the best sandwiches in town and every hot sauce known to man

Food Bites: A blog about Reno’s dining and restaurant scene

Michael's Deli has the best sandwiches in town, end of story. The best part about this sandwich shop is that they aren’t a chain. It’s just a simple little deli with a simple inside and a super extensive menu and really a nice staff. You just walk in, stand in line, order your food, and get out. Or you could sit down and people watch, because this joint is located right on South Virginia Street in the midst of all the Reno action. As for what’s on the menu, they have pretty much everything. Gyros, hot and cold sandwiches, a vast selection of salads (regular, potato, macaroni, etc.), soups and pretty much anything you’d ever want to ask for in a deli. They also have a table full of what seems like every kind of hot sauce known to man (so if Tabasco isn’t your thing, you won’t be left salsa-screwed). They just rewrote their menu and from what I can see they’ve extended it a bit as well. This place is totally cozy inside. It has the old school red and white plaid picnic tablecloths on the tables, and plenty of seating for you and your buddies to relax in while you stuff your face with sandwiches that are fresh, huge, and tasty.
